I brought a hand bag on 6/10/23 for my mum for Xmas from the Bexleyheath branch TK MAXX

My mum was pleased with the size and that it had a strap. She is 84 and wanted to have one with a strap for security, as its not safe for her to carry one with handles now.

She also has to walk with a stick now. When she took it out and it was raining. The rain went down the gaps on either end into the handbag, either when she had it strapped across her body. She asked if I could return it and exchange it for a different one.

I didnt think it would be a problem.

I took the hand bag and the receipt back to Bexleyheath on I tried to explain the problem to the sale assistant. She asked to see the receipt. Which I gave her. I said Im not asking for a refund, just an exchange.

The sale assistant said this is the design. I said it may be the design, but its no use to my 84 year mum if everything gets wet. I said the reason I got the hand bag was so she can wear it across her board. She repeated this is the design and she will not exchange it.

I said so my mum can only use the handbag when its dry. The sales assistant said for my mum to use a umbrella. I said that means my mum has to buy another handbag for when its rains. The sales assistant went off to speak to her manager.

She then came back and repeated the same thing. Thats the design of the handbag and they wont exchange it. I was not impressed with her attitude and the fact that she was unwilling to listen. She obviously thought I was untrustworthy and I had changed my mind about the handbag.

As I said my mum is 84 and walks with a stick.

She cannot carry an umbrella as well as a shopping bag.

Which is another reason why she wanted a handbag with a strap.

I do think its unfair that i cannot exchange this handbag for my mum. She feels awful now for telling me about it.

I would be grateful if this can be sorted out and I can exchange this handbag for another for my mum.

Dear TK Maxx Customer Service,

I am writing to express my deep disappointment and frustration regarding a recent shopping experience at your TK Maxx store located in Tottenham Hale on Saturday, November 4th, around 7 p.m. The behaviour and attitude of your staff during my visit left me with a very negative impression of your company.

Upon entering the store, I had hoped for a pleasant shopping experience.

However, I was met with indifference and rudeness from one of your sales assistants, Najiba, who was seated on a stool in the click and collection area and appeared to be on a break. When I approached her and said, "Hi, I am here to collect an order," in a friendly manner to initiate a conversation, she gave no acknowledgement and appeared uninterested in my presence. She grabbed the store device and started to look at it without any response.

I then mentioned, "Sorry, I just said hello, and you remained quiet, and now you are looking at a mobile phone. Is there a reason?" She continued to look through the store device and replied, "This is not a mobile.

It's the store device." I acknowledged that it was indeed a store device but expressed my disappointment that she didn't even acknowledge me and went straight to the device without a word.

In response, she said, "Would you like me to help you or not?" To which I replied, "No, please. Can you get someone else?"

The store manager, Amama, then came and took over, asking me for the details of the order. Najiba was still being rude in front of the manager, who said nothing to her but just moved her to a till.

To make matters worse, when I decided to bring this issue to the attention of the store manager, Amama, I was met with even more disappointment. I asked if that was normal behaviour, and all she said was yes or no, madame.

Rather than addressing the issue seriously and empathetically, Amama was dismissive as if I was the problem and not her staff, creating an atmosphere where my concerns felt unimportant and ignored.

What is even more disheartening is that she then moved to another till, where she was seen drinking a soft drink and leaning as if she was bored, further confirming her lack of concern for customer interactions and satisfaction.

She Najiba continued to exhibit a bad attitude and behaved as if I was without reason, showing a complete lack of professionalism and customer service.

What was particularly concerning was that I overheard Najiba talking to another member of staff and asking what I was saying. Her colleague replied, "She just wanted you to be present and wanted customer service," to which Najiba responded with derogatory remarks about customer service. At that point, I informed Najiba that I could hear everything in their conversation. She replied, "I am not talking about you." Nonetheless, I asked her for her name because I wanted to file a complaint, and she refused to provide it.

Following this exchange, the manager, Amama, asked Najiba to leave the till area.

This entire incident was very unpleasant, especially as a customer, to witness a member of staff challenging my presence and showing a lack of respect for the concept of customer service.

To make matters worse, when I decided to bring this issue to the attention of the store manager, Amama, I was met with even more disappointment. Rather than addressing the issue seriously and empathetically, Amama was dismissive and not assertive towards her staff, creating an atmosphere where my concerns felt unimportant and ignored. This only compounded my frustration and dissatisfaction with the customer service provided at TK Maxx.

It is essential for any business needs to prioritize excellent customer service and ensure that customers are treated with respect and courtesy. Unfortunately, my recent experience at your Tottenham Hale store has left me with a very negative impression of TK Maxx.

I would appreciate it if you could investigate this matter thoroughly and take appropriate action to ensure that incidents like these do not happen in the future.

Your customers should feel valued and welcomed when they choose to shop at TK Maxx. I hope that this complaint will lead to a positive change in the behaviour and attitude of your staff, especially Najiba and the store manager, Amama.

I kindly request that you respond to this complaint at your earliest convenience to inform me of the actions taken to address these issues and to provide some reassurance that my concerns have been taken seriously.

Nothing has been done about the complaint i made about Staff manager in store, she still treats me the same , did not hear about the outcome of the complaint at all, What a waste of time that was, a slap on the wrist thats all she had, what a joke tk maxx complaint team are, dont waste your time making a complint to them .

Parcel force have not delivered!

Parcel force claim to have attempted to deliver my order 3 times & also to have left a card each time.

I have been in on every occasion. No one has attempted to deliver to my address & no one has left a card.

I have called your customer helpline twice & keep being told Parcel force will not attempt another delivery.

I have asked to be put in touch with some one in authority who can sort this out but am told there is no one .

Parcel force are obviously not delivering to the correct address ( I have asked to see a photo but there is none).

I am again awaiting a call back from your help line but am not very hopeful.

You & I are both paying for a service we are not receiving!

Crack in my cup

Hi i brought a cup with a straw on saturday the 2nd of September and have noticed there is a crack on the inside wall and now liquid is sat in between the inside wall and outside off cup I cant return as i never got a recpit. It was in the torbay store

Disappointed and frustrated

The Wathamstow branch is the worst tkmaxx ever ! Fitting room feels like border controls and make you feel very uncomfortable! Staff rude and not interested ! Security staff grumpy look rough and think they are some kind of special forces . The store is badly arranged ! Iv seen better setups in charity shops.

Report about antisocial behavior.

Hello TK Max team. Please if you can help me with my issue. Yesterday (between 14.05 and 15.40 pm) in TK Max area in Hayes town I'm became a victim Antisocial behavior , threats and became Disstress and insult, after verbal abuse . I'm can't go from shop because have Some panic attack after being buling. I'm need help to provide evidence to Counsil Antisocial behavior team. Dear Complaints Manager, I came Today to the Sheffield store, to do an exchange for a £14.99 bracelet, as it's too big for my wrists and I was unable to find another, as stock appeared limited today. Although I did pick other items to exchange with instead, which totalled £70.97, i.e.

much higher value that the bracelet. However, managers discretion was not extended to me, instead she offensively said, that she's not convinced the bracelet is from your store or one of All Saints.

Unfortunately I had left the receipt at home, in another bag. Therefore, I asked her to scan the tag on the item, as it'll show up on your screens, that it is indeed the same bracelet as is on the barcode, but she refused to even check.

To make it worse, I witnessed a lady next to me, who had no problem exchanging an item without a receipt. I feel discriminated against, and have left wondering if it is because I was wearing a head scarf, & the English lady next to me wasn't!?

My mum was re-admitted into hospital in end of June, and my role changed to a full time carer overnight, which meant I had to leave my high profile job.

I have been at the hospital with her since, so unfortunately this means, I am a couple of weeks outside my refund window, I also had a head injury, and ended up in hospital myself this Monday, and have been suffering since. Today was the first day I felt better, and also was able to get someone to sit with my mother, whilst I quickly came to do this exchange.

I can send you a copy of the receipts, & evidence of mum still being in hospital, and that I too was admitted in hospital on Monday.

Due to these unique, and unfortunate circumstances, I trust you will be keen to know of my experience at your store, and will be able to show some good will in this situation, and allow me to have a refund, or exchange for the items I have just bought.

I have an item that does not function.

Dear Customer Service,
Further to my telephone conversation with Jess this morning, I am enclosing photos of the faulty item as requested.
My partner brought the faulty item into the store where it was purchased from and explained that it was faulty. The manager who is called Glen sent her away and didnt want to know.

At this point I had to go back into the store to address the problem as I saw it.
I asked to speak to the manager and explained that the item was faulty because it was not burning correctly and it kept going out. He said and I quote, you are not burning it correctly. I looked at him dumbfounded and said do you realise what youve just said!!
I said that the item is faulty because there is very little wick and it can only burn through the middle rather than how its supposed to burn which is hardly at all as I am demonstrating with the photos.
He said that he wasnt interested and that we were ganging up on him. At this point, I said that you do not have a clue on how to deal with customer service because in my retail outlet, if a client returned with a faulty item, I would either offer them a replacement or a full refund.

He told us to go away and at that point I requested his name so that I would report him to Head Office.
I request that this is either refunded or replaced and furthermore, I request that he is either sacked for pure incompetence in dealing with returning customers or at the very least he is demoted and sent for retraining. His behaviour in dealing with the general public was atrocious beyond all words.

Hi, know how you feel ,made complaint about staff manager at tk maxx store, , but they said they would look into it but dont think they have at all, they hanen't even bothered getting back about it, no point contacting the complaint team what a waste of time that is, getting attitude from staff just sort it out there and then becouse tk maxx team wont.
